Icons keep moving

I am having a very annoying problem--my icons I created (or are created for
me when installing a program) won't stay still, they move around--some stay
right where I put them, but many move and it is a pain to always move them
back to where I want them--I don't have windows arrange them bu alphabetical
order or the other choices, I put them just where I want them and they have
always stayed put--except for starting a few weeks ago--can anyone help me
out here--thank you so very much

If Lock Web Items on Desktop is checked...
Items can be moved, but they are moved back after reboot.

Right click Desktop | Arrange Icons By |

UNCheck: Auto Arrange
[[Arrange the icons in columns along the left side of your screen.]]

UNCheck: Lock Web Items on Desktop
[[Specifies whether Web content windows or items that *you* have placed on
your desktop are locked in place and can’t be moved. Select the check box to
lock Web content in place. Clear the check box if you want to be able to
move Web content.]]
