Icons disappear, text remains

One of my users - running XP - "all of a sudden" has no icons on his
desktop, but the "text" remains

I tried "hiding" the icons and then "re-enabling them" - no go

Any ideas ?

You can do 2 things:

1) Increase Icon Cache size.

2) Delete the Icon Cache file & reboot.

If no. 1 doesn't work then do no. 2 & you should be in business

'Max Cached Icons' & change to '4096'
