Using Word templates is more convenient for us administrative assistants.
That was one of the best feature's Word had offered.

Hi Tye,

Can you tell us why you think the feature is gone and in which version
you are seeing this? The template feature exists in any Word version
that I know of.

Templates exist and are used in all versions of Word that I've worked with,
certainly Word 5.0 - Word 2007. They changed (messed up IMO) the method of
getting to them between Word 2000 and Word XP. In Word 2003 you have to do
File > New and then click the link for "on my computer." See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/CustomizingWord2002.htm for how to get
easier access to the Templates dialog.

For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog,
and locations of templates folders see
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.
