I want to mail merge a parameter query using a macro

I've created a macro that extracts the current content in a form using a
query with the criteria [Forms]![Form Name]![Record Name]. I have been trying
to export this for mail merge but am having difficulties. I tried using the
TransferText action on my query and selecting the target as a word document
which failed, explaining that the query was read only, however I was able to
transfer the text to a normal text file using the same method but changing
the target file. Is there a way I can send the query to a pre-designed word
mail merge document so it will create the same template for any form record I
use the macro on? Any help appreciated.

But the whole point is that I want the whole process to occur with just a
macro, that way with the press of a command button the whole process can
occur, otherwise for the task I am trying to achieve I might as well copy and
paste the form's content into a word document. I want to create a macro that
takes the records shown currently in a form, and mail merge these into a
premade template.

Do your form. Open MS Word and use the query as the source for the mail merge.
