The host 'fmtp-server.kc.rr.com' could not be found. Please verify that you
have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Fw: Welcome to Windows Mail', Account: 'pop-server.kc.rr.com',
Server: 'fmtp-server.kc.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I have contacted my internet provider 2x - everything is set up correct.
I have contacted microsoft 2x - they said they couldnt help me - unless I
paid them 59.00. They told me to contact Gateway
I contacted Gateway 2x - who said it is a software issue - microsoft had to
help me.
So I am stuck with a new computer - and cant respond because of my outgoing
mail. I have been on the phone for hours now. I am completely about ready to
loose it.

Typo in the server name; it should be "SMTP-server.kc.rr.com". You will get
nowhere with "FMTP-server.kc.rr.com" because there is no server with that
name. Your settings are NOT correct and everything should work once you fix
that typo in the server name.

There is an obvious typo in the server name:
fmtp-server.kc.rr.com should be changed to smtp-server.kc.rr.com.

Also, the error message "Please verify that you have entered the server
name correctly" was a dead giveaway. :)

Correct the typo . fmtp should read smtp. We all do make little mistakes .. Then we blame someone else. Human nature

And I'll bet if you'd have posted your problem and included the error
message(s) you got, we'd probably have the problem solved and you wouldn't
have needed to deal with IncrediMail at all.

Wonder how often recreating an account succeeds because it has corrected

If you hang about for a few years, read the posted solutions, and remember
them - with variations?

Instead of guessing. As you did in your initial post to this thread.

"Hi,

Open WMail, click View, click Go To Folder, select Local Folders, Inbox
,click OK.

Hope this helps

SIW2"

And again with your 2nd contribution, to a TOTALLY different problem that
was posted by possibly a 12 year old, or newbie?

"Hi Tammy,

Here are 3 things you might try" Sheesh! 'fmtp-server.kc.rr.com' in the
error.

If you are not certain please do not post guesses, stick around, SIW2, it
will come into place eventually

We appreciate your efforts, SIW2, but if you are not
certain as to what the correct fix is for a given problem,
it is best to pass that one by and let someone else answer
it. I limit my responses to issues where I know I have
expertise. For example, I will never respond to a question
about stationery or embedded sound.
If a given question has not received a definitive answer in
12 hours, then it might be time to offer a "Try this..." type
of solution.
