I/O Magic external CD RW driver problem

The CD drive on my laptop broke, so I bought an I/O magic
52x24x52 external Cd-RW. I also installed a USB 2.0 port
to accomadate it. The hardware installation wizard could
not locate a driver, so I downloaded a driver from the
I/O website to the desktop. XP still cannot find the
driver. Any suggestions?
