I need to remove vista system volume from a hard drive!

Ok, problem is i recently installed Vista 64 Ultimate and it has been sneaky
and installed a system volume on my drive D: which is a solid state drive
that i use as a scratch disk for photoshop. I want to remove the system files
and format and change the drive letter but of course vista decided on
installation that it wanted to use it.

How do I get the system files moved back to C: without having to disconnect
my solid state drive and reinstall to prevent it stealing it again?

Cheers,
Damien

I tried disconnecting the solid state drive and hoping a repair would fix it
which it did, its all on C: now. Now my problem is i have the solid state
drive and one other which vista will not recognise and yes i did plug it back
in! haha
