I need something similar to an IF formula

I'm wondering if there is a way to create a formula that will insert data and
new cells depending on an answer to an earlier question. Basically Im trying
to create a form and the next section only appears depending on the 'right'
answer.

This will only show up if the question is answered, you'll have to put
your info in there:
=IF(xxx=yyy,zzz,"")

But if you really mean "insert" the way Excel means "insert", no
formula can do that. You would need a macro.
