I need help, My daughter forgot the password to Windows.

My daughter has her own computer that was once mine, She has windows xp pro,
She has tried to remember & she can not remember her password. I start it up
in safe mode & then get a place for her to log in & a place for Administrator
to log in. I do not know that log in for the administrator. I can't get in to
windows at all to fix this in safe mode or anything else that I have tried. I
have allot of files in that computer that I was going to clean out & keep..
Because I got a new one. But now I can't get in at all. Please help if any
one has any Ideas. I only have windows XP on my new computer.

Try leaving the password blank in the Administrator account.

XP Pro on your computer:-
1. At the log in screen “ ctrl-alt-delete “ twice.
2. In the User Account, type Administrator
3. Leave the password blank and press enter.
(Most likely a password wasn’t created in this hidden account during setup).
4. Go to Start - Control Panel - User Accounts.
5. Select your name and click change the password.
Then you should be able to change the password, shut down the computer and restart in normal mode
and use the new password you just created.
