I have a simliar issue...except that I can't even log in to Big fish to
download updates to my games I've already purchased. Vista is throwing me
into a log in loop and I can't figure out how to get out of it....can anyone
help?

p.s., Vista also does this for my automiatic hp updates...so I'm not able to
update my laptop with stuff from HP

I don't know the answer so this is just a guess, but it sounds like the
designers are still working things out, hopefully there will be a patch for
it soon, in the meantime have you tried activating parental controls and
allowing everything?
Another possibility, create an administrator user account and try running it
or setting parental controls using that.

Hope that helps!

Reinstall the game by right-clicking on the game setup icon and choosing
"Run as Administrator" If the installer doesn't run elevated the installer
may think it's installing, but Vista doesn't allow the files in Program
Files to be created.

Note that people are having problems with these games, if you can't get them
working, consider contacting the game maker and getting a refund.

I have Vista Home Premium and can download and play Bigfish games. The PC
is an HP and I have no problem installing HP's updates.

I'm guessing the difference between my PC and yours is that I have turned
UAC off. I know that a lot of the MVPs will say not to do that, but UAC has
cause more trouble than it is worth and, IMHO, is one reason that many folks
are so unsatisfied with Vista.

Try turning UAC off and see if that solves your problems. You can always
turn it back on when ever you want.

Good luck.

Steve,
Thanks for the reply....what is UAC, where do I find it to try this.

Hi Jo...go into control panel then user accounts and uncheck the tick box
for UAC you'll need a restart and also pop into the annoying red shield
that will keep popping up an hit the change the way etc and tell it not to
warn you again about the UAC being turned off

UAC = User Account Control

....it's the feature where if you go to install something Windows will ask,
"Are you sure? Continue or Cancel"

It's basically the butt of all Vista jokes, if you disable it, it can fix
some minor issues. The option to disable user Account Control is in the
control panel under "User Accounts".
