I need help....BAD

Ok, this is going to take someone who REALLY knows what
they're talking about to recognize and give me help on
this, so if you're that person than please help me. I
like to keep all of my music files in one folder so I can
select them all and put it on random. But one day when I
went to select all the files and pressed enter it brought
up the "Open With" window. So I selected windows media
player and clicked the option of "always use the selected
program to open this kind of file". But when the media
player came up, it only had the first song that was
selected out of all of them. I tried it again and it
still brought up the "Open With" window and produced the
same results. Ever since then it's been doing that will
all the files that I usually use windows media player for
and I still can't get more than one song unless it's from
a CD or playlist (and I have over 500 songs so going
through this process of opening them one at a time and
adding to a playlist is out of the question for me).
Anybody who has any idea please let me know. My e-mail
adress is (e-mail address removed) and please put in the subject
(in caps too) FIX YOUR MEDIA PLAYER (so I don't just
automatically delete/ignore it). I'll also be checking
back here so I guess one could always just post it here
as well for anyone else that may have these problems.
Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure if you read my whole letter. I know how to
select all and I know all about that damn open with
window....that's my problem. It comes up every time.
Also, the add to playlist option isn't there. And since I
have the chance to add this into the whole equation,
whenever I go to Tools at the top and hit Options,
nothing happens. It's like options don't even exist
anymore on it. Windows Media Player sucks for having this
many problems.

Well, that's why a lot of people don't use it. You should check out
Quintessential Player. It plays most of the popular codecs and has a great CD
ripper will real CDDB2 support.
Get it FREE at http://www.quinnware.com/

As you can see by the other response, WMP is not a very reliable player and it
is highly recommended you use another player. I have MusicMatch Jukebox and many other players, besides the below freebie for my use, even the free WinAmp is better than WMP. Take a look and try it, you can always delete it:
MediaMonkey Free MP3 Jukebox Player, Music Library Organizer, ripper (3.8mb)
