If no one can tell you specifically how to turn this off, I'll point
you towards system restore. (Don't post in all capital letters,
please. It's difficult to read and considered to be shouting..)

Start button, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.
Choose a recent date before the problem began.

AND WATCH OUT WHICH BUTTONS YOU TYPE.

Did you change the size of the desktop?
Display> Settings. Move slider to the right to make the desktop larger
(which in turn makes the items on the desktop become smaller).

Or does the software for your adapter offer something called "extended" or
"expanded" desktop"? If yes, turn it off. These settings are usually integrated
into Display settings but may turn up in a separate configuration tool
provided by the software/drivers that are installed for the hardware.

System restore?.. is that the only way you know how to fix problems?.. how
many times in a day do you do a system restore?.. more than once I should
imagine.. how bout you tell people how to do a system restore.. or
alternatively, save time and tell the op'er how to zoom back out using the
display properties and/or the controls on the front of the monitor..

There are controls on the front of your monitor.. refer to the manual on how
to use them.. some monitors have a setting to zoom in.. using the same
controls, it should be possible to zoom out again..

The poster isn't too great with keys. I gave her advice on how to use
system restore if no one could tell her how to correct her problem.
And, yes, I do use system restore fairly often.

Since she didn't know how she got into her predicament, I can't assume
she changed the resolution via Display Properties - cause and effect
should be really obvious.

You entered hell when you loaded WindozeXP - go out and
buy a copy of Redhat 9.0 - this will solve all your
software problems
