I need Frontpage help

Hi. When I edit my website in FP (2002) do I use the 'save' to save the
pages edited or publish to web?

Why I ask is I have always used the save when editing pages but
sometime on certain pages a box will pop up and say that the page
already exists and asks if I want to replace with the existing page. I
can only click to save it as a replacement page and then it goes through
saving all images over again plus the updates I just made. At other
times on certain pages it will just save the page without asking me to
replace the whole page. So I am wondering if I should be using the
publish to web every time I update...would this make a difference. I
also notice that when I update my website days will go by without any
customer activity whereas previous to the updates customer activity is
high. I am almost wary of updating my site anymore because I know it
means 3-4 days will go by without any customer activity but I need to
keep my products updated.

Please advise if I am doing something wrong and what I can do to
correct it.

Thank you in advance,
Devorah

When creating a new page, you should use File | Save As. When editing an
existing page, use File | Save or click the floppy icon to save. If you
where to use File | Save As when editing a page, Front Page thinks you are
creating a new page. That's why you get the pop-up for replacing an
existing page.

Once you have the page saved to your HDD, you can publish to your web.
