I need a Free Anti Virus Service?

Ive Read other Posts & there are a Lot of them.

Is Norton FREE? I had it When I Purchased My PRESARIO 2200. When I Was
Searching For Another PROVIDER I Thought I would TRY Peoplepc.com They Have
Their Own Security PACK. When I Downloaded the Software CD It asked to
Uninstall Any Other Virus Service I Have. So I Did !!! BIG MISTAKE using
PEOPLEPC.com. Ive had Connection Problems & Only Had PEOPLEPC for 3 weeks.

now I Need an Anti Virus & Firewall Protection.

What Do You Recommend? Anyone HELP PLEASE !!!!!

There are lots of free AV and Firewall, but my personal preference is this:
Try either Avast or AVG free versions, if you like it you can move to the
paid one and get complete protection( Firewall, Anti--spyware and Anti-Virus).

Also if you gone to the free version you need a Firewall as they come
without one, so you can pick ZA or Comodo and Kerio search the MSN for it.

You have a firewall already - there's a basic firewall built into WinXP.
Make sure you're on SP2, though - just good advice in general. In SP2 it's
on by default. If you want something that blocks outbound traffic (which
Windows won't), you can look at ZoneAlarm....

For free antivirus, there are several options, but AVG is one of the more
popular ones. However, note that you get what you pay for. For your Norton,
even if it came with your Presario, it likely was an eval (or, it was one
that had a lapsed subscription after some point). I personally recommend
TrendMicro PCCillin for my small/home office clients; it's about $40 or so
per year. Like many IT people, I am not a big fan of Norton AV or McAfee.
Their stuff has become 'bloatware.'

For your connectivity problems, you should probably contact PeoplePC. I
don't use any ISP's software/CD, ever - I want to have control over what's
running on my computer, and I don't need an ISP's re-branded web browser, or
anything like that.

hard to read your post, what with the excessive capitalization of letters.
Write in proper English, and pretend you're writing an essay for a strict

Well Norton is the worst security ever!
Avoid at all costs!

Anyway AOL Active Virus Sheild is the best free anti virus in the world with
a 99.96% detection rates of viruses and get Comodo Firewall Pro it works very
well and isnt annoying like Zone Alarm
