As Microsoft products are not distributed on line for download (other than
in certain restricted circumstances) I suspect that you have downloaded the
Office 2007 trial. If you installed this as an upgrade to your existing
Office application, it will have replaced it. If you installed it alongside
your earlier version that earlier version should still be present and
accessible from the Start menu. That being the case uninstall the new
version and repair the old version to bring it back to prominence.
If the old version has been removed then as Ben says, there is no
alternative to re-installing it from the original installation CD.
If indeed it is Works that you have installed, its installation should not
in any way affect an existing Office installation - though who can say what
evils pirate software may have brought to the table?
