I messed up really, really bad

Wally

This morning, after three hours sleep, I decided to install Win98 onto my
system. Separate hard drive, C: (20 GB), with WinXP preexisting on D:\ (40
GB)

I changed my boot sequence to Floopy/HD0/HD1 to load Win98.

So I did the deed, and Win98 worked fine. BUT!! when I tried to boot back to
XP there was no going there.

I tried repair (lots of options like to repair I am asked to reformat D: ~~~
NO WAY). I tried to use the commands in the DOS-like help to manipulate the
files, but the system prevents me from moving or copying any files from D:
to C:

So does anyone out there have any clue how I can get back into XP.

My sequence on boot now is: HD1/HD0/Floopy. HD1 is drive D: (WinXP).

Thanks in advance.

Why not enter BIOS select D: as start-up drive, you could even physicall
unhook C: terminals and just run D:. XP should use C: instead of D:
You must have each drive on seperate IDE cables, otherwise set D: as master
C: as slave.
