After I make Outlook 2003 the default mail, contacts, calendar client under
Tools>Options>Other, ActiveSync and HotSync tell me that I don't have a
default client selected. What can I do to make ActiveSync and HotSync
recognize that Outlook is selected?

Control Panel->Internet Options->Programs tab. Ensure that Outlook is set
as the default mail client.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Yep. Did that too. Should have posted that.

I used the "Detect and Repair" under Help. That seemed to fix it. Hope it
didn't change anything else.

Thanks!

Now, I'm going to have to find a Windows Mobile 2003 forum to why Outlook on
my mobile isn't working....

microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync should help.
