If the printer is networked, then from the Windows XP machine try adding a
new TCP/IP port with the printers IP address.
1) Open Printers and Faxes. Start->Printers and Faxes
2) Select Add New Printer from the tasks on the left side
3) Select Local printer and deselect "Automatically detect and install my
Plug and Play printer", hit next
4) On the Select a Printer Port page, select "Create a New Port"
5) Select "Standard TCP/IP Port"->Next
6) In the Printer Name or IP Address, enter the IP address of the printer.
If you don't know this, you can usually print a configuration page directly
from your printer that will tell you the IP address. Check your printer
manual on how to print a configuration page.
7) Then point it to your new driver and it should be good to go..
