sis it possible for someone who set up my computer for has the ultimate
control of my computer. I am completely comp eliterate. I have spent 500
dollars to wipe my computer clean. yet it is not clean. my comp had a
wireless router in her name; I have since gone to direct connect from moden
to my comp. but even though she is gone, it appears that she still has
control of my computer. I have spent a long time trying to figure this out.
Including almost 100 dollars to microsoft for tech support. no one can answer
my questions. It seems as though she has made my computer the remote computer
to her computer. Keep in mind that she has had total access to my comp for 8
months. even after cleaning my comp;, as soon as I start it up, in the event
viewer some of the things I see are, "the remote access manager has entered
the starting state." "the event log has been turned off." "the event log has
been turned on." this along with other questionable events. The problem is, I
have no computer skills. so I cannot figure it out. Not even with help from
windows or microsoft . someone please help thanks

Turn off remote access!

Go to Start, Run, type services.msc

This will open up the list of services that run on XP. Disable the following services; 'Remote Access Auto Connection Manager', 'Remote Access Connection Manager', 'Remote Desktop Help Session Manager'
