I have accidently lost my news button. How do I get it back, and it isn't
there under the customization/command menu to put back. I have tried
restoring the menu bar. I am stumped. Thanks

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Directions are in Help. You don't mention your version. This is for OL 2003:
Add the News command to the Go menu. (Right click on Go, select customize.)
Click the Commands tab.
In the Categories list, click Go.
In the Commands list, click News, and drag it, without releasing the mouse,
until it rests over the Go menu. When the menu displays a list of commands,
point to where you want the command to appear, and then release the mouse.

Note outlook does not have a newsreader. It uses Outlook Express for that.
Make sure you have OE on your computer or this won't work.

This method only works for those who have the News command. The OP no longer
has that command available to them.
