Everyone knows that Ubuntu was written by geeks for geeks who can't get
laid.

Ubuntu is worth exactly what you pay for it: NOTHING

HA HA HA
Eat your heart out Alias.

I just checked Dell's site and see they are selling Linux machines..
Ubuntu 8.04

Of course that's an older version of Ubuntu and I think it odd that they
are not using version 9.04

Doesn't affect me as I build all my own machines...so I really don't
care what the heck Dell does

It's not one of their main selection options but they do sell some.
If you bothered to read that article, the guy said he heard they weren't
going to sell any more, then updated it the next day to say they were.

They are way overpriced machines, I've seen much better ones at
tigerdirect.com, bestbuy.com for much less with Vista Premium, but they do
sell them.

If you bothered to look at the pitiful givings on the dell site
regarding Ubuntu, they state the following:

---------------
Not sure Open Source is for You?

The main thing to note is that when you choose open source you don’t get
a Windows® operating system. If you’re here by mistake and you are
looking for a Dell PC with Windows, please use the following link.

<link to windows>

--------------

So they just figure if you "chose" Ubuntu, you probably made an error
and give you the opportunity to correct yourself by providing a link to
purchase Windows. Way to go DELL!

Whereas letting a chick know you run MS Windows is a sure ticket to a
wet night with her and her sister.

Idiot.

One...you were wrong, they still offer it.

Not for long you retard.

Two...no self respecting linux user needs Dell to install linux.

No self respecting computer user would use Linux on the desktop unless
they just want to waste time and play with their computer.

Even when Dell installs Windows, users in the know format the drive and re-
install.
You must be like seven years old.

No need to post your IQ.
Take a nap.
Bite me.

Dell is in it for the money, you know, that green stuff you beg your mom
for.

Well, since you're wasting time....
That is what you're doing,right?

Sure. Just like you. This is entertainment.
"seven years old" is an IQ?

I see you IQ is pretty low.
I thought it was a spoiled little brat, like yourself.

I did just byte you, dumbass.

HA HA HA HA - Nope.

8.04 is the last LTS version. The next is not due until 10.04.....
That's why.

Yet you bring up Ubuntu more than anyone else. You even start threads
about it.

I am doing my "Noble Mission" by letting everyone know whenever I can
that Ubuntu is a piece of crap INFERIOR Operating System that is a total
waste of time and energy.

Thanks for reminding me.

You're only mission is to continually prove that you're a nymshifting
troll who isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. You excel at
your mission.

BFD. So the name changes. The message is clear and consistent.
Everyone knows that Ubuntu, the FREE OS that nobody wants is an INFERIOR
product that people reject all the time.

Ubuntu is still on LESS THAN one percent of the desktops out there.
Imagine, a FREE product that everyone rejects. Must be pretty SHITTY to
claim that "PRIZE" HA HA HA HA

Ok

thanks for the answer.

Though I personally do not use Ubuntu, I did give 8.04 and 9.04 both a
try and have to admit I liked version 9.04
