In Excel i clicked Help/Detect & Repair. It asked for the original source
disk which I don't have and didn't recieve with my computer. Now I can't
even start Excel. It always tries to install Excel and asks for that source
disk. I'm using Office 2003 Standard Edition. Any Suggestions?

You need to contact the computer maker and get a copy or download an image
if that's possible

I still say you should have a legal copy, and not a bootlegged copy you
bought from some random computer store.

I actually think that some computer makers include an OEM version of office
without the physical CDs where they have a hidden partition with a backup
copy
of the OS and all installed programs. Where if you screw up or remove that
partition
you can download a CD image to recreate that partition and restore it.
Not that I would buy such a thing but I know these things can happen

Well, I have to agree, but I thought they sold me an OEM copy: They charged
me enough for it to be one. Anyway they no longer have a copy. They wanted
to sell me 2007.
