I get message: type mismatch

I have a control with a "listbox" option and the choices are "yes" and "no".
I created a macro to open a form when the answer "yes" is chosen. However,
when the form should open instead I get the message "type mismatch". In my
macro I typed as follow: "the name of my control = Yes", but it does not
work. How can I fix this problem?

A Yes/No field is stored in Access as a minus one (-1) or a zero (0). Your
criteria must match these numerical values.

a control with a "listbox" option

do you mean that it's a Listbox control? or is it a Combobox control? please
specify, and in either case, copy the RowSource property of the control and
paste it into your reply so we can look at it.
