OE 6.0 and I can't seem to remember or click my way to figure out
how to only display messages I have posted or replied to.

Two places a rule and a view.

First the rule:

Start Outlook Express | Tools | Message Rules | News... | New | Where the from line contains people (check) | Enter your e-mail address(s) | Add | Mark the messages as watched or ignored (watched) | Name of the rule (MyWatched) | OK | OK.

Now the view:

Start Outlook Express | View | Current View... | Define Views | New | Where the From line contains people (check) | Where the message has been read (check) | Where the message is watched or ignored (check) (watched) | Show the message | Name of the view (MyWatched) | OK | OK.

Now to see your new view:

Start Outlook Express | View | MyWatched

You can add or remove what you want here but the process is the same. HTH.

Thanks George -- I thought I was able to get what I am looking for
from a couple of menu selections via the View menu -- as I recall --
but it seems there are a lot more steps involved.

Well you need a rule if it slips your mind to add a watch. Also when you post now your posts will automatically be watched. That's the rule to mark them as watched. I don't think you can do that from just View??? So it may be more then you want to do just leave out what you do not want.

I'm going to work with the suggestions you provided but what
I wanted to do I just re-learned even though I thought I had tried the
following menu selection before starting this thread. Go to any
newsgroup and select:

View > Current View > Show Replies to my Messages

That will display 'only' messages I may have posted to that particular
group as well as replies to that message.

What I'll get from your sage advice regarding rules is the ability to
set a message to be watched automatically which is a good thing for me
to finally learn as I usually forget which groups I have posted to.
