I F*&ked Up!

2 out of the 3 posts that I believed to be censored yesterday, are
actually on the server today.

When I got home from work very early this morning, I downloaded the
headers, but the messages weren't available on the server. After
getting a little sleep and creating a new instance of this group in my
newsreader these 2 posts were available.

Must have been a server glitch (but even that is an assumption) or
something.

But I definitely made a mistake by calling these 2 posts censored, and
the links to these 2 not-really-censored posts explain that.

I've seen that condition before occaisionally, getting an error saying
the message no longer exists, but then opening another and going back to
the "missing" message sometimes works. I'm using Netscape, BTW, but I
don't think that matters.

Well, I'm glad they made it to my server, since I sit before my computer
clicking refresh all day long so that I can see your gems of wisdom as
soon as they are available :)

It happens with outlook distress, too.

Would you like kurttrail to send you a blow up doll of himself so you can
just sit and pretend to kiss his arse all day long too? you two lovers or
what?

What part of sarcasm did you miss?

I have completely disagreed with Kurts stated positions since day one,
but, like all troll masters, and he's a true master, he will never
leave. In my 20+ years of being on Usenet I would have to say that I've
never seen a better troll in all that time.

Nah, Kurt is an amateur -- go over to the cdr group and
check out sammy hong if you want to see someone really
off in another dimension. Been at it for years (really).

LOL! You guys are funny, and totally wrong. A real troll would not
admit to a mistake on his/her own, especially before anyone else figured
it out.

And the best real troll I've ever encountered is the K-Man. He could of
convinced Einstein that E=Yo' Mamma's Farts cubed.

20 years hey? And the greatest troll you can come up with is Kurttrail? Man,
you do live a sheltered life.

No, the best trolls are the ones that don't appear to be trolls, appear
to be just off kilter enough, and do what it takes to not be totally
obvious - admitting your mistake doesn't mean you're not a troll - a
good troll would make that statement in order to cover their troll
action :)

It's rare that I see a troll that isn't obvious and at some point breaks
their cover, I don't consider the obvious ones to be any good.

LOL.

Kurt is not a TROLL, he doesn't fit any of the criteria to classify him as a
troll. He is a newsgroup agitator, he shakes up the newsgroups with posts
that ask hard questions to answer hard questions. The naive bite and call
him a TROLL and don't address his questions which fuels his agenda. Kurt is
no more right than anyone else posting their well thought out opinions, and
he is most assuredly not totally right on any answers pertaining to his
agendas. He only tells you how to fool the activation process, you must
decide if what he tells you is right for you or if you think deceiving the
Microsoft Activation process is the right way for you to deal with piracy
of software. Despite Kurt's information and warped understanding of
software licensing, defeating a licensing agenda is not really a victory for
anyone except the pirate and the unscrupulous followers of the person
supplying the information.

This (your statement above) actually describes a troll quite well, in
fact, it's an example of the purest form of trolling there is.

Unfortuntuatly, you do not understand what a troll is. A troll is someone
that incites a newsgroup to respond to the original post and never replies
to any of the replies. If the troll replies, they reply anonymously and you
never know the troll replied. Kurt is not a troll, he is a newsgroup
advisory.

Nope. Over long periods of time, the best trolls are those that keep
you going even though you have no doubt at all that they are a troll.

Oh, I understand software licensing better than most. It is a
COMMERCIAL USE contract, which the colluding corporations of the BSA are
trying to convince everyone that they are PRIVATE USE contracts too.

No, he's a usenet loon who sometimes--but only sometimes--actually has
something useful to say and can say it without being unpleasant and
offensive about it.

Being offended by mere words is within the beholder. What offends me is
all the innocent Iraqis that have been killed for no good reason at all
in the name of We The People!

..But you still are not a troll, even if you THINK you understand the
licensing schematic you profess to understand! You only have your opinion,
and it is no better than anyone's opinion with an opposing view. There is no
law, and all we have is opinions, so I say you are wrong, you can't prove me
wrong on my opinion and I can't prove you wrong on your opinion. So no one
is right or wrong. We both have web sites that tell people how to activate
their legally purchased versions of Windows.
