....and am quite new to Access, so please bear with me.
I am working on a project to locate thousands of financial services
companies across the U.S. I have street addresses for each of these
offices. To find the XY coordinates of each office, I have been using
batchgeocode.com. However, because of misspelled and/or insufficient
address data, it's really not a foolproof method.
So, I'd like to write a procedure which pastes both the original
address and the XY coordinates in Google or Yahoo Maps, and calculates
the distance between them. If the distance value is outside of a
given threshold, I'll know that the address is flawed in some way and
then can manually adjust as necessary.
Any insight on the feasibility of this would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
