I chose Exchange Server when setting-up Outlook, how do I fix?

I was setting-up a friend's e-mail on Outlook and accidently chose "Microsoft
Exchange Server." It didn't work and I realized it should be a pop account.
Now I can't just delete the Exchange Server account. I even tried to revert
the computer to yesterday's settings. Any suggestions?

Delete that mail profile under Control Panel->Mail Icon and create a new one
with the correct account information.

I tried this and it won't let me delete the Exchange account. The error
message I get: You cannot delete this Outlook data file. Configuration
information in the file is being copied to your new default file. You can
delete the file after this information is being copied. I have tried setting
up other accounts and making them default accounts and it still will not let
me delete the Exchange account. HELP?

You are confusing the Data File with the Email account.
Do Control Panel-Mail Email Accounts and remove the Exchange account there.
