I can't send email

TWANI

I can receive email in Outlook Express; but, when I try to send mail, I
get the following error message:

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop.netzero.com', Server:
'smtp.netzero.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 Cannot
connect to SMTP server 64.136.21.92 (64.136.21.92:25), connect error
10061', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number:
0x800CCC67

I've followed all support recommendations (verified my connection, all
my email settings are correct, etc.), but still unable to send mail.
Support has also recommended that I log in to my inbox online and send
from there, but I want to just open my OE and do everything from there.

Thanks.

Hello, Had same problem do not know answer. Did the following: First, Used a
GoBack point, if not using GoBack try a restore point,(this worked for my
problem). If cannot do this,then.

Second, After opening OE go to "send/receive" click on your default mail
carrier, this will connect to the isp and accept or reject the connection.
before trying to send or receive any mail.

Third, Try the microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
newsgroup.

Hope a MVP will post and give you assistance or the outlook newsgroup has an
answer.

I don't know the answer, but let me point out that an Outlook newsgroup is
an inappropriate place for this question. He's using Outlook Express, not
Outlook, and they are two very different products. An Outlook Express
newsgroup, on the other hand, *is* a good place for his question.
