I can't open links sent to me in e-mail,why?

I can't open links sent to me in outlook 2000 e-mail,and I can't find an
answer.Is this question to simple?

Hi,

I have the same problem. When I click on a link in an e-mail, it
automatically starts an install shield wizard for a computer game program
that I've tried uninstalling without success.

Any suggestions?

that's a problem with the installer - if Ie's tools, options, programs,
reset web settings doesn't help, we recommend letting the installer complete
whatever it wants to do. alternately, sometimes it helps to install another
program.
