I can't change the colour of flags on outgoing Emails

I am trying to establish a flag system for Emails amongst one of the teams in
our office, and according to my records, I should be able to put a coloured
message flag on outgoing Emails, however when I select flag, I am unable to
change the colour.

I was wondering if there was a setting somewhere that I haven't turned on or
off that would enable this feature.

Any help would be appreciated

What version of Outlook and how are you trying to do it right now?

Outlook 2007 doesn't have colored flags, it uses colored categories now,
which might explain what you're seeing. Or might not, since I'm a little
unsure what it is you're trying to do.

Hi there,

I am using Outlook 2003 and all I want to do is put a coloured flag on an
Email so that when the recipient receives the Email they can look at the flag
to work out what priority the Email is... (I realise there is a priority
setting of High or Low that can be used... but the boss likes colour and
flags seem to be the logical option).

I am hoping this will work!

Quick Flags are local for the user. What you can do is use a category and
then then your boss can create a rule to automatically Quick Flag the item
to a color of his liking based on that category.
