I can receive but cannot send emails in Outlook

I just installed Outlook 2003 on XP home edition and when sending an email an
error message comes up stating: 'Operation failed. An object could not be
found.' I have tried reinstalling Office Professional but this didn't do
anything. Can someone give some advice for this?

I had the same problem, and your solution worked perfectly. The one
difference for me though, was that I moved to a new machine. So, when I
created the new profile I also had to import the .pst file. Didn't figure it
out at first, but now I'm up and running.
