I can not access search engines. Qhost?

In the last few days I have not been unable to access any
of the major search engines. I get a "Page cannot be
displayed," message on all of them. I have read about
Qhost.exe and I have downloaded the latest patch.

I have also run the Symnantic Fix Qhost software. It told
me it could not detect Qhost on my system. But it is
obviously there somewhere.

Does anybody know the exact files to look for and where to
look for them. Or perhaps you know a fix that actually
works?

The Norton Site has some pretty specific instructions. You probably need to delete
entries in your hosts file at a minimum as described in the article below. Use
http://216.239.53.99 to bring up Google for now. -- Steve
