Hyperlinks to Internet and network paths in two differen tabs

In Word 2007, a checkbox named "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks"
appears in two different places--once under the AutoFormat tab and again
under the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Why is it in both places and should it
be checked or unchecked in both places? There must be a reason it's found
twice. Thanks in advance.

*All* the settings on those two tabs are duplicates. The ones on the
AutoFormat As You Type tab describe corrections that will take place as you
type. The ones on the AutoFormat tab describe corrections that will happen
when you run Format | AutoFormat. Only you can decide which options you want
to enable. In this specific instance, I have "Internet and network paths
with hyperlinks" disabled on the AutoFormat As You Type tab because I don't
ordinarily, in material intended for print, want URLs to be hyperlinked. But
I leave it checked on the AutoFormat tab so that I can easily convert URLs
in the few documents in which I do use hyperlinks to Web pages (the "cheat
sheets" I use for these NGs, for example).

unchecked in AutoFormat, that you can't easily convert URLs? Does this enable
some right-click feature or how do you convert URLs?

When it is checked, you can convert typed URLs to hyperlinks using Format |
AutoFormat (I actually have an AutoFormat button on my toolbar, though). As
it happens, though, I rarely do this any more since I found that you can
also select a typed hyperlink and click on the Insert Hyperlink button and
accomplish the same thing.

You can also just right-click on the URL and convert to a hyperlink but you
can do that with either option unchecked.
