Hyperlinks to and from PowerPoint

I have a presentation in which there is a link to an Excel spreadsheet, this
works fine. I have a hyperlink in Excel to take me back to my PowerPoint
Presentation, however it always takes me back to the first slide.
Can I have a hyperlink that will allow me to choose the PowerPoint slide in
my presentation to return to.

Thanks

Easiest thing to do is to click the top right "X" to close the Excel
program. This returns you to the last opened program (which is your
presentation) on the same slide.

Yes you can. Make some text, then right click on the text and click on Action
Setting. Then under the Action on click section, select "Hyperlink to" and
click on "Slide...". Now, select the slide you want to return to.

Thanks Bill but I really wanted to go to the next slide not return to the
original which is why I needed to return to slide 8 instead of slide 7 (my
original)

I knew I didn't explain this very well. Thanks tohiz but this only works in
PowerPoint and it is the hyperlink in Excel that needs to return to a
particular slide in PowerPoint.

That works beautifully. Took me a while to get the presentation open in
Internet Explorer (having a senior moment I think!) but once there I got the
information I needed and it worked well Thank-you very much.
