Hyperlinks not working in Word or Outloo 2007

I just installed Office 2007 on a new machine yesterday. I'm noticing that
when I type in URL's in any format - http://www.ibm.com or www.ibm.com the
hotlink that is automatically created - does not happen in either program.

How can I turn this feature back on. I'm assuming that it is in Word
program where this needs to be turned on. I'm using Vista and IE 7.0

In Word 2007, go to Office button > Word Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect
Options > AutoFormat As You Type tab, and check the box for "Internet and
network paths with hyperlinks".

Outlook 2007 needs to be set separately. Go to Tools > Options > Spelling tab >
Spelling and AutoCorrection > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type tab,
and check the box for "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

I thought these options were turned on by default in a new installation, and I'm
surprised that you didn't get that result.
