Hyperlinks in Powerpoint

I have a presentation with Hyperlinks to other slides in
the presentation . However, when I click on the Edit
Hyperlink the slide is selected but when I select the
slide it doesn't appear in the preview pane ?

Also , I have noticed that if I link to a Word document
and then go back to the document , the hyperlink no
longer works but if I close down Word first then the
hyperlink does work .

Any Ideas please?

It sounds like the title of the slide to which you are linking has a
funky character in it, most likely a comma (I know; commas aren't so
funky, but PowerPoint thinks they are). Try deleting the comma and
relinking.
