hyperlinks in email messages do not work

I have Outlook 2000 running on a Windows2000sp4 o/s with ZoneAlarm for
firewall protection.

Emails sent to me that contain hyperlinks that I should click on to read the
full article do not work. The emails are being sent by reputable societies
(American Society for Quality, etc). When I hover over the hyperlink I can
see the url: http://cl.extm.us/?.... or http://cl.exct.net/?...

I had my wife send me a very simple test email with 2 lines of text and a
3rd line which was a hyper-link to todays cnn online web-page
http://www.cnn.com/...
When I clicked on this, nothing happened.

Can anyone tell me how to configure Outlook so I can click on these
hyper-links to read the information?

Thanks,

B

THANK YOU FOR THIS SUGGESTION!! I've had a user here at work with this
problem and I could not figure out the problem - I checked all his settings
and even uninstalled Office 2000 and reinstalled it. He called Dell and they
couldn't figure it out either! Your suggestion was so simple, and it worked.
I'm thankful!
