Hyperlink to wrong e-mail program

When I click on a hyperlink on a web page to send e-mail, I am directed to
G-mail instead of my Microsoft Outlook 2003 program (which works fine
otherwise). Running Windows XP (sp3) Pro. Thanks in advance!!

What web browser?
Any gmail notifiers installed?
 
Windows XP SP3 is not yet officially released; installing a pre-release
(beta) version can have all kinds of side-effects.

Did this work correctly before installing XP-SP3?
