Hyperlink to an .avi file

I am using Word 2007 with Vista Home Premium
When I Ctrl+Click a hyperlink to an avi video file Windows Explorer opens at
my Documents folder. The same hyperlink in Works Word Processor opens the
video in my default player (realPlayer).
How do I make the Word hyperlink play the video.

You should get a security warning, but otherwise a link to an avi file
should work. Check that Word options > Advanced > Web Options > Files >
Update Links on save is unchecked and re-insert the hyperlink into the Word
document.
