hyperlink e-mail field

I built a new table with contact information including an
e-mail field. The e-mail field will not hyperlink. I ran
an update query to add the "mailto:" text but that didn't
help. How to I make these fields link.

I know how to make all NEW entry hyperlink, what about the
close to 1000 records already there?
