I have powerpoint 2003. I want to create a hyperlink to access a hidden
slide. I highlighted the text and rightclick to create the hyperlink. When
the hyperlink dialogue box appears I selected the option 'Place in this
Document' option and clicked on the slide i wanted to show the link in. (This
is all in the same presentation). When i replay the slide show i'm not able
to view the hyperlink i created. What have i done wrong? the colour of the
hyperlink is different from the rest of the text so i know it didn't work. I
need to be able to access the hyperlink whilst i'm running the slide show as
i'm showing it to 2 different groups of people during my presentation. Please
help!

It makes things much easier to follow if you stick to one post per question

When you highlighted the text are you sure you selected the text and not the
text box itself?

Did the text become underlined when you added the link?

sorry, this is the first time i'm using this, I didn't know i could reply
back. The highlighted text changed colour and is underlined. Do you know what
the source of the problem is? many thanks!

Does the title of the slide to which you are linking have a comma in it?
If so, remove the comma, and it should work.

If the problem is a comma in the title just removing the comma does't always
work. This is because powerpoint "remembers" the old address for the link
with the comma, you should remove the comma, remove the hyperlink and remake
it.. You can use this to advantage because once the link works you can
probably put the comma back.

hello, there's no comma in the title. I have also tried going into Slide
Show-Action Settings and clicking on Hyperlink to and selecting the slide
number but it doesn't work. That is why i'm baffled, there must be something
wrong. This should be quite simple but i don't understand why it's not
working. Any help would be appreciated guys.

address then? i'd appreciate it very much if you could find out the reason as
well as i've been trying to work it out for the past 2 days!
