Every time I use any HTML Help file, I get a "has encountered a problem and
needs to close" window. I send the errre report but get no feed back of a
possible solution.
The error signatures is:
AppName: hh.exe AppVer: 5.2.3790.1159 ModName: itircl.dll
ModVer: 5.2.3790.1159 Offset: 00008034
The problem seems to be with itircl.dll, As the AppName can vary depending
on where I launch the help from.
microsoft.com has instruction for uninstalling HTMLHelp and I have tried
this and the installed the Help Workshop from the download, but still get the
error.
I have checked that all windows updates are loaded, but I can't locate a
specific update for XP HTML Help. Does one exist?
Any ideas what else I can do?
Windows XP is on SP2, It's an OEM install so can not ask microsoft support
and OEM just said "reinstall windows" - This Not an option.
