I am trying to password protect a folder using htaccess, but included the login process on an HTML page outside that folder (so the user puts in the login info and then it submits that to the script and logs the person into the protected area).
The problem is that I can get it to work on a Mac but not a PC. The PC interprets the password string as a URL and of course, can't seem to find it.
Annyone have this issue before? Or know how to repair it? Or know a better way to implement in the .htaccess protection and have it function from an HTML login page...?
