Original Problem: Cyan bongo pad bad - cyan reads empty and printer will not
print..

New ink well assembly installed without a hitch and the printer is working
like new. However, the cyan cartridge still reads empty and I know that it
is half full. My guess is that the smart chip on the cyan cartridge has
recorded the out of ink message from the time the bongo pad originally
failed. If this is the case I do not think that there's a way to
correct/reset the cyan ink level. Or, is there?

Does anyone know if the cartridge will continue to print until it is
actually empty despite the erroneous visual cyan indicator? I believe this
printer has another way of reading the cartridge ink level by monitoring
internal cartridge pressure? Just guessing here...I guess time will tell.
If someone knows the mechanism behind this I would like to hear more about
this....

Signed just curious.

Correct on all assumptions. Continue using the cartridge until it runs out
of ink, or until the printer fails again with another problem, then toss
it......
