HP toolbox

I recently installed a HP960c printer on my new computer running Win XP home.
Everything installed except the complete toolbox. I cannot tell how much
ink is left in the cartridge. There are 2 cartridges - 1 each for B&W and
color. I know from past experience if one goes out , you can't always tell
which one needs to be replaced. I found the toolbox on the disk but don't
know how to move it onto my hard drive and get it to work. I copied it but
it does not appear in my HP folder. I know if something is put in the wrong
folder it won't work (ie printing MS works calendar , MS gave the wrong
folder to put it in) HP website is no help.

Is this a compantibility issue? Or will it just not work. Or is there a
proper place to put it. Has any tried the compatibility wizard. I checked
it and it will let me search a disk . Wondering if that will work. (I'm
not an expert by an means)

I have a new HP CPU with Microsoft XP. My printer is an HP 970Cse, which is
compatible for the XP. I have lost the toolbox also!, so no ink level
appears......... It was there with the Microsoft 98se; Is this an HP
problem or Microsoft problem??

Hi Cari...........I will give it a college try.........then I will probably
take the offer from hp help and support with an exchange for a newer printer
with like features for the old one.......... Model 6122..............free
shipping and no cost on returning old printer. Maybe that will be the way to
go.......new CPU and new printer, what a life!
