HP T45 and XP problems

Karl

My daughter has the HP T45 all in one Printer and even after we downloaded
the latest driver from the HP site it does not work for Print . Installation
of driver went smoothly after we first un-installed the previous driver, in
fact, deleted the HP all in one Printer. Then re-installed with the XP
driver from the HP site. It puts the HP all in one printer in the Control
panel and the Fax portion works fine. The copy portion is VERY, VERY slow
and the print does not work at all.

Connections are firm, got new Belkin bi-directional cable. Still no go.

It worked fine under Windows 98SE.

Anybody has a fix for this?

Hehe, he must know this printer well.

I used to have this printer and my copy was also slow. As far as the
printing not working, make sure that there is nothing in the spooler. Also
try to do a printer reset (can't remember if there is such thing on this
printer). There is a HP support group
http://bizforums.itrc.hp.com/cm/FamilyHome/1,,228,00.html and also
"Microsoft.public.windowsxp.print" newsgroup that you should post your
question.

I sent the link to my daughter. Then called her. She connected to the HP
site, ran the test, it said All id ok.

BUT - it still does NOT print or even attempt to print under windowsXP.

Maybe the printer is dead or even the ink/toner is empty.
