HP pavillion mod to convert its USB 1.1 ports to 2.0

I have a HP pavillion ze4800 that has usb 1.1 ports. Is there a mod to
convert these to 2.0? I'm using the PCMCIA slot for wifi so thats not
available for the upgrade. Sometimes it takes a chip swap, mobo jumper mod
or driver upgrade to enable the 2.0 electronics.

Anyone try this on a laptop?

Unlikely. Just buy a usb2 pc card and a usb wifi adapter.
