HP Pavillion Install

Jim Connors

I am trying to install Win 2003 server (or Win 2000 server) on an HP
Pavillion Media Center TV m7490n Desktop PC. It currently has XP with SP2
installed. A blue screen of death error is occuring during the install.
Does anyone have any information as to how the install should be tweaked to
allow installation on this hardware?

(I plan to install 2003 as a dual boot - not upgrade.)

Thanks

It would help if you told us what the error message in the BSoD actually
says!

Install does some initial stuff, then reboots for the 1st time. Starts
copying some files to the hard disk, then says its starting Windows, then
the BSoD message comes up.

Keep in mind this pc runs apparently fine under XP SP2, so the hard drives
are probably installed OK (2 HDs of about 250 GB a piece).

Here is the BSoD message
