HP LJ IIIp behaving oddly...

Hi there.
I am using an old Hewlett Packard Laserjet IIIp under Windows XP.
Whenever I print something, it spits out a blank page after every page
printed, the actual print is okay. I checked in the driver settings so
that I don't have enabled "separation page" (Is this the right term?) or
something, the printer menu itself isn't very helpful, either. (And
cryptic, due to the small display.)
)
It doesn't seem to come due to misconfiguration on the XP side, anyway,
since I recently had a reinstall, and the problem was there before and
after. I am using the supplied printer drivers of WinXP and the standard
settings.
It would be nice if someone could give some advice, this is quite
annoying, especially on the frequent occasion of just having to print
five pages before leaving in great hurry. ;-

I have a IIIP connected to a WinXP with the standard driver, and I haven't
seenthis problem. So, I don't think it has anything to do with Xp per se...

Are you using the optional paper cassette. If so it maybe the same problem I
had with mine. See the link below which fixed my printer.

Could be misconfiguration in the printer driver - perhaps set for 67
lines a page (only 66 will fit) or
paper size is 10.5" instead of 11.

Is it possible to print from a DOS box in XP? If so, send a two page
ASCII file to lpt1 and see
whether the problem recurs.
