You can usually get service manuals if you request it on
alt.binaries.e-book.technical, or you can usually purchase it on eBay.
The spot is on the drum in your cartridge.

That spot is an error in the drum and you won't be able to get rid of it
unless you replace the whole drum. I have same spot in brand new Panasonic
laser and i got a replacement under warranty.

Hi,

Thanks for your opinions, but i have some questions:

* I don´t know what is the drum, if you can say me where is it or show me
some link to know something about it will be very usefull for me.
I read in google this about my problem:

" In some cases specks of toner can stick to the drum, and this shows up on
the printed page as a repetetive spot 3 times per page.

In this case the ONLY substance to be used for cleaning is 99% Isopropyl "

* It only print 3 timer per page..., how can i do this?

* if i change the toner i will repair it?

*Fredfarkle i live in spain and it cost very much for me shipping and buy a
manual, i´d prefer a e-manual as say magpie, but thanks for all.

Regards.

The drum is located together in process unit. Process unit should be
accesible if you open some sort of side cover or similar. This drum
represents develop unit and contains developer, so if it's a fault on
developer, only thing is to replace whole process unit. But i guess you can
inspect whole process unit carefully and if you see any spots, remove it.
Just don't touch developer part - in my Panasonic it's green covered drum -
if you damage it, you'll get even more spots. However, if you see spots in
green drum, there's really not much you can do except replace.

Replacing only toner won't help, however, i don't know at this point (you
should ask your dealer for this) if you replace only toner (black powder)
or whole process unit. If it's whole unit, you'll solve the problem, since
in this case, drum (i.e. developer) is replaced also. You will notice also
by seeing package - if it's small bottle, it's only toner, but if it's
bigger box, it's whole process unit. Check out also HP's web site , maybe
you'll get more info.

The drum we have refered to is inside of your print cartridge which
also contains the toner. If there is a spot on it, it usually cannot
be removed. The only solution is to replace it. I will post the
service manual for you on alt.binaries.e-book.technical later today.
It is a combined service manual for the HP-I, HP-II, HP-III, HP-2000
and the HP-IIP/IIP printers. It is in English though and not Spanish.
I will post it "ATTN: JOTA.

This combined manual is technically called a "Troubleshooting Manual"
and the service manual is quite another thing entirely.

It is still very nice to have, and a very nice gesture to post it.
